Anyways, I love riding because I have plenty of time to think. During the ride, I decided I'm going to go the xtracycle route because it will:
hide the motor
hide the batteries
expand my storage space
provide a platform that can serve as a seat for another rider
increase my wheelbase
keep my weight under 100 pounds
cost less than buying another bike
keep me riding Qimikom
keep me on two wheels
provide pockets low to the ground to keep a low center of gravity
be easily removable and will contain all the components so that I can remove the electric portion and reinstall the original wheel if needed.
So now it looks like I've narrowed down the motor, the motor controller, and the bike. Now all I need to do is bite the bullet and buy it all :). I'm going to buy the xtracycle first, so I can get it installed while I wait to hear how that new motor controller works out. It just started shipping, so I'd rather not guinea pig it.
