I rigged up a 500 watt load and left it on until I pulled 20AH. The battery voltage had hardly dropped, so the new battery design looks good. I was amazed how uniformly all the batteries discharged. If all goes well, I'll look into using my charger again for the bulk portion of the charge.
On a completely unrelated note, I cautiously updated to Mac OS 10.6 today. I wasn't terribly fond of many of the changes in 10.6, but now that it's hit 10.6.3 I imagine it's stable, etc. My first major 'oh fuck' is with Expose, which Apple has managed to absolutely destroy in 10.6. Expose came out in 10.3 and lets you see all open windows by pushing a button. It's really cool in 10.5 and previous. In 10.6, Apple destroyed it. If you want the old behavior and you're using 10.6, download the 10.5 Dock here (the dock controls Expose):

Unzip the file you just downloaded, create a folder on your desktop called "OldDock" and then open up terminal.
Run this code in terminal:

Bam! Old behavior. Apple, why would you screw up an interface you've had for 7 years? I just don't understand.
