2000 miles

Hit 2000 miles.  Thus far I've saved 143 gallons of gas, which is $375 or so.  I've used 50KWh which comes out to $5.70. My equivalent gas mileage north of 920mpg.  This of course factors the inefficiencies of the charging system, which is around 90% efficient, so the in-use mpg (decharging, i.e. while the bike is in use) is 1022mpg.  So, over 1000mpg equivalent...

Without factoring in wear and tear, insurance, registration, inspection, I'll need to bike 36,000 miles to pay off the bike, assuming nothing else breaks.  The likelihood of this happening is close to zero, so factoring in all that junk I listed above, I'll need to bike only 10,000 miles, which works out to 2 years to pay for itself.  If we factor in the price of the car itself, we can see that the bike pays for itself while the car does not.  Too tired to flesh this out right now.

Except for the 5 trips it took to move into my new place, I haven't driven my car in 2 months.  I'll be selling it shortly.
